artficial lives, all stored on drives

'artifical lives, all stored on drives' is my second set of artwork and is influenced by the old internet. taking inspiration from the personality filled aesthetic of websites from the early days of web2.0, these pieces show how the personalities and ideas of other people influenced the internet for the better, letting people truly have their own little corner of the internet.

in todays internet, the world wibe web is a shell of its former self; used as a buisness rather than a creative platform, the internet has lost its life and personality. it is seen as something that needs to be moderated and streamlined.

i do not agree with this minimalist and streamlined approach to the internet that started with apple and the first few updates to the iphone; the effects of this change has bled through to the rest of the internet. the internet was founded upon personality. that idea deserves to be respected.
